DetailsStunning antique Dresden-style porcelain lace figurine featuring an elegant courtly lady seated on a white and gold-gilded chaise lounge sofa. This piece showcases incredibly intricate, hand-applied ruffled porcelain lace dating to the early 20th century (circa 1910s-1920s).
Condition Report:
• Porcelain Lace Skirt: Overall beautiful presentation with the vast majority of the voluminous pink and white ruffled lace layers remaining highly structured and intact. For absolute accuracy, there is a small area where a portion of the delicate lace trim shows a minor break/chip. This is incredibly common for authentic antique Dresden lace of this age, and it still displays gorgeously from the front!
• Base & Body: The main porcelain body and hand-painted details are gorgeous. On the underside rim, there are minor antique "flea bites" (pinhead-sized glaze scuffs) and a small, shallow chip on one of the gilded support feet (see photos). This minor base wear is completely hidden when the piece is sitting flat.
Markings:
Features the crisp blue underglaze Crown over italicized "N" mark on the bottom along with an impressed mold number "7"—a classic German Thuringian workshop mark honoring historic craftsmanship. -
